The Olianas Story
It was 2000, the dawn of the new millennium. For us, the dawn of a new wine project. In Gergei, the heart of Sarcidano (37 miles north of Cagliari), the meeting between Stefano Casadei, Artemio Olianas and Simone Mugnaini gave life to Olianas. The three became united by a shared philosophy of producing quality wines based on respect for the environment, nature and the people who live there. This philosophy developed into a new concept of agriculture, where environmental protection is put first to ensure a better future.
At Olianas, our wines are not only organic but bio-integrated. Produced with great dedication, expert hands, and an ongoing commitment to our ecosystem, these wines are the product of our love and respect for the land. |
Artemio OlianasHalf Sardinian and half Tuscan, Artemio spent his childhood in Gergei. Later, he moved to Florence where he successfully created a business in the food industry.
The first 12 acres of the Olianas estate have belonged to his family since 1919. The property has subsequently expanded to vineyards for wine production. |
Stefano CasadeiStefano describes himself as "a technician borrowed to entrepreneurship." After studying Enology and Viticulture at the University of Bordeaux, he gained experience in analytical control, wine quality, microclimates, soils and vine varieties. A constant innovator, Stefano also provides consulting, viticulture and management services to wine producers through his company, Tecnovite Toscana.
